Our service support
for our partners within SEBN Group

Research and Development

We became a part of Central Research & Development within SEBN Group since 2014.

Our project portfolio includes research and development activities for customer brands: Audi, Porsche and Škoda

Our activities include design of 3D layout of a wire harness in a vehicle’s cockpit area, design of 3D component models for a wire harness, design of electrical schemes for electric elements in a vehicle, creating of drawings, regular updates of technical documentation within a change management in particular projects.

In our problem solving activities, we continuously co-operate with colleagues from other R&D offices abroad. Our design activities using top 2D and 3D software and a direct access to the latest electronic vehicles systems enable us to improve and grow professionally.

Project Calculations

We focus on issuing project calculations under Central Calculation Office management.

Our calculation quotations refer to automotive projects in our sister companies focused on wire harness manufacturing mainly for customer brands Audi & Porsche.

The calculations are further processed on the ground of project drawing data for a particular project based on internal calculation rules and operation times guideline. Our calculations cover a change management and internal manufacturing concepts, too.

In every calculation, customer requirements are considered with emphasis to keep deadlines for a quote submission, calculation standards and adequate level of quality.

Production Technologies & Engineering

Our department within SEBN Group is a part of Central Production Engineering.

Production Technologies

Our team consists of process engineers, technicians and designers. We manage on our own, eventually in cooperation with other colleagues within SEBN Group and external suppliers, to launch new and modified technological procedures and production systems into a mass production. The whole process, from the initial concept, detailed follow up phases through development and prototype stages until launching into a mass production, is under our supervision.

Our team provides support within SEBN Group for local engineers in implementation of changes into manufacturing process.

The main scope of our support service includes: polyurethane processing, circuit check of wire harnesses, visual testing of specified components, design of components used in assembly boards manufacturing together with determining the operation standard for building of assembly boards and necessary equipment, defining and support of standard workplaces used within SEBN Group.

Use of equipment, such as 3-axis CNC milling machine, lathe, 3D printer and laser design tool, enables us to keep as flexible as possible during prototype phase of projects.

Did you know, that...

Over the period of last 40 years the number of possible vehicle variations in VW Golf (1st-7th generation) model increased one milliard times. As for the wire harness for this vehicle, the total length of all wires extended 5-times and the weight increased 4-times.

Production Engineering

We provide technical support for projects within SEBN Group for our sister plants focusing on wire harness manufacturing for vehicle brands Audi and Porsche.

On the ground of change management, drawing documentation and customer specific requirements we prepare a manufacturing concept of the project. Based on production time calculations as supplied by our Calculation Office we issue capacity forecast, summary of all production equipment needed and project costs.

Production System and Standardization

Within SEBN Group we operate under Central Production Management. We are in charge of activities we co-ordinate directly in our sister plants production.
In the activities under our scope we:

We provide benchmark KPIs for Production Management and lead benchmark projects into SEBN manufacturing plants

We are responsible for implementation of PK activities, developing and evaluating Group standards and procedures to comply with PK evaluation requirements.

We are in charge of production acquisition control (PAC) and production data acquisition (PDA) management and provide operation support for PAC and PDA Management related questions.

We are production process owners: we co-ordinate and approve all changes in manufacturing process of a particular wire harness.

We create and continuously improve production support systems (CAO, WAO, MAO) by which we ensure customer requirements are fulfilled (e.g. traceability). We create Global Standard for manufacturing plants, too.

Programme Launch Management

We conduct production capacity management providing expertise in the programme allocation of product and programme launch plans.

We manage a project launch process to assure successful project ramp up together in co-operation with Central Project Management which ensures due dates and revenue targets are reached.

We provide overview of production technology in accordance with applicable PAC and conduct ERP process analyses related to PAC and PDA Management questions.

We provide overview and analysis of project launch ramp-up and down-up curve and participate as audit supervisors in conducting Programme Readiness Audits.

Quality Management

Within SEBN Group we operate under Central Quality Management.

Our Quality Management System together with continuous improvement of processes and products has been under our primary scope of interest for more than 20 years. We work as a team consisting of internationally acknowledged auditors.

Our top priority is a satisfied customer and keeping the principles of zero defect policy.

Within SEBN Group we provide support for all our sister plants in quality improvement. We conduct process and system audits before a new project launch and supervise all quality requirements are fulfilled in all wire harness production process for vehicle brands Audi, Porsche.

The complexity of our services portfolio, use of analytical procedures in problem solving and improvement activities is significant for our activities. Our other priorities include safety, quality, productivity, cleanliness and tidiness in compliance with 5S standards and continuous learning.

We provide training services, complex training programmes for external companies in automotive and electric engineering industry focused on handling and repair of wire harnesses.

Logistic Services

Within SEBN Group sister plants we co-ordinate and standardize logistic processes, material flow and transports of produced wire harnesses to our customer, all managed under Central Logistics.

In our process we follow Just in Sequence (JIS) eventually Just in Time (JIT) in accordance with production plan of a particular project.

Furthermore, we optimize transport flow and packaging options. Based on Central Logistics guidelines we conduct selection process for our import and export transport suppliers.

We issue KPI analysis reports on truck transport utilization, effectiveness of ordered services and effectiveness of transport costs.

For local sister Logistics departments within SEBN Group we provide support in launching of new projects and we guarantee the functionality of logistic systems.

Did you know, that...

It may be tough to handle the wire harness? The overall weight in the vehicle may exceed 50 kilograms despite the fact that the wires with diameter smaller than 0.2mm have been used.

It is reliability of delivery services and effective communication that drive our relations with our customers making thus a solid ground for the customer’s satisfaction.

Information Technologies and Support

Within SEBN Group, our department is a part of shared IT services system since its establishing in 2014. Our teams with their tasks and responsibilities determined follow IT Service Centre (SC) task matrix model, providing service support for all production and non-production companies within SEBN Group.

CIT Nitra is hosting the following teams for services such as SC Active Directory, Reporting, Business Process Modeling, furthermore SEBN teams for SC ERP Systems, SC Server Storage  Backup, SC EUW - Security, SC Business & Production Systems and SC Field Support.

We provide support in implementation of new manufacturing and business systems, in launching of new projects and processes.

Data security and workstation security protection against malware and viruses threats is one of our top priorities. Therefore, we perpetually strive to improve the functionality of our control and detect systems (firewall, antivirus protection, Active Directory, 2FA etc.) As a part of this efforts since year 2015, we have updated our training methods for our users to continuously raise their information security awareness. The objective is to continuously improve information security awareness in compliance with requirements of our customer, and ISO 27001/ GDPR standards.

Controlling

Central Manufacturing Controlling department tries to provide relevant answers to the following, just to name only few out of many, questions:

What will be manufacturing costs for new Porsche project in SEBN Ukraine plant?
What would be the costs for the same project in SEBN Morocco plant?
Why did manufacturing costs in SEBN Poland suddenly increase?
What impact on costs will the change of rate in SEBN Tunisia have?
Where should a new electric Audi project start?
What will our costs look like in four coming years?

Administration

Our Administration Department provides support to enable all central departments to complete their tasks successfully. It provides a back office support, ranging from purchasing services and goods, through trainings organisation, human resources issues, taxes payment, up to invoicing and payroll activities.

Yet, it is our greatest pleasure to surprise our colleagues with something extraordinary, such as ice lolly break in a hot summer weather, unexpected invitation for burger lunch with non-alcoholic beer or teambuilding sport event.
